You can expect the temperment of a Chorkie to be a blend of its parents. They are very intelligent and alert, able to perform many tricks and obedience tasks. As both Yorkies and Chihuahuas, do, Chorkies will bark. However they make great watch dogs. Chorkies are may be shy or bold. If anything like its Yorkie ancestor, he will not recognize his own size and may be aggressive with dogs much larger than himself. Although not as fragile as a Yorkie, care should be taken when around other dogs to save you and your dog some grief.Health:

Chorkies will shed an average amount. The coat for this mix is short and stays clean. Bathe as necessary, but not often.This mix can get all of their exercise indoors, but will enjoy the chance to run off leash at the local dog park. Housebreaking for Chorkie puppies should come fairly easily when given close attention.
